Brecon Lodge B&B is a delightful Victorian residence, situate just 10 minutes from Cardiff City Centre, yet only a few steps from the exhilarating Esplanade and seafront. Ideal for a Short Break in and around Cardiff and Penarth - "The Garden by the Sea". We cater for the Independent Traveller who dislikes big hotels and prefers select accomodation. Naturally we provide a real personal service to each of our discerning guests.

Sit here in the sunshine and enjoy delightful views across the Bristol Channel to Weston-Super-Mare, Clevedon and the Mendip Hills.

There are several excellent restaurants a minute or so's walk away, and the Town Centre is reached by a regular bus service within minutes.

Penarth Pier

The pier was constructed some 120 years ago, and completely rebuilt to the original design. It is a working pier, and in the Summer months, the Paddle Steamer "Waverley", and the former ferry "Balmoral", operate passenger trips around the Bristol Channel to Minehead, Ilfracombe, Clevedon and up the River Severn.

(NB - Unfortunately the "Balmoral" will not operate during the 2013 Season.)

The Pier Pavilion is currently (2013) undergoing a massive £4million refurbishment and renovation and work is well under way, with completion projected for October 2013. The building is becoming an Arts, Crafts, Interpretation, cinema and restaurant venue.
